I couldn't get enough of Château Frontenac. Quebec City was lovelier than Montreal -- better preserved as an old city. This meant, of course, more stairs. We spent a long time hiking around looking for the Plains of Abraham. The details of this battle are mind-blowing. The French made mistake, after mistake after mistake. If not for this place, a lot more of us would be speaking French right now.
Jenny and I were just realizing yesterday how little we know about Canadian history. We have set aside an FHE to read up on it in Wikipedia (and maybe change a few things while were at it . . .).
